I returned… from there. I had the feeling the world was disintegrating around me. Everything became ugly, distorted, as if someone did it on purpose, to try to make me regret it less. And now… I can touch the table.dek2 return

  1. The woman asserts her contentment even as she purposely drops hot cigarette ash into her open palm.

    The guy in the second shot is her husband. Corpselike, he appears in the darkened doorway, then as slowly he walks into the light he begins, for the first time in the film, to speak.
